4 out of 5 stars You Sir, or NOT Photoshop   October 29, 2008
I won't go into too much detail in this review, just let me say this - Photoshop Elements is NOT for anyone who has ever used, or is even slightly comfortable using, the regular version of Photoshop. Premiere Elements is a pleasant surprise so far, very nice. However, I wish I could return the Photoshop Elements portion of this package.

I suppose all of the "automated" aspects of Photoshop Elements come in handy for users new to the world of graphic/image editing, but I was convinced I'd be able to turn them off - not much luck with that. Sadly I'm finding it very difficult trying to stop Photoshop Elements from "helping" me, and destroying or at least disorganizing my work. Very frustrating.

I suppose this is all my own fault, if I had only taken my money out of the stock market sooner I would have been able to afford a copy of the REAL Photoshop. =) Anyway, read more reviews before you purchase Photoshop Elements and make sure you know what you're buying.

5 out of 5 stars Love It!   September 15, 2008
I used Elements 4 for a long time. I really like the updated version as well. Have not used Elements 4 yet but previewed it and it sounds great.

5 out of 5 stars I love photoshop   September 14, 2008
I am so pleased with photoshop. I wish it came with a better explanation of how to use it, but with a few tutorials on youtube it was very easy and fun to do! I also go the missing manual book for photoshop, which is super helpful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

1 out of 5 stars looks slick, but does not work (and customer support is useless)   August 16, 2008
i was initially very happy with this software, but it crashes every time i try to render video, making the software ultimately useless. attempts to resolve the problem with adobe are frustrating - they do not respond to technical support requests submitted online, and they are not helpful by phone. i will be returning this software.

1 out of 5 stars Beware of compatibility/System Requirements   August 10, 2008

While my PC is not brand new, I exceeded the "minimum system requirements" published for this software. Warning -- unless you have about double the memory and speed listed in the specs, the Premiere Elements portion will not work. After upgrading my memory, I was able to create a DVD, only to find that my DVD Recorder was not compatible (of course, nothing tells you it isn't compatible, and there is no real manual to refer to). Following the instructions, I had to save the DVD to my hard drive, then copy to a DVD-R, resulting in a very poor quality DVD. Since you can't return opened software, I'm out $100 for something I will not be able to use unless I want to buy a new DVD Recorder.
