No Dragon Fan! November 21, 2008 I REALLY tried to make this program work because I type lengthy narrative documents. Just couldn't, no matter what I did I continued to have multiple multiple errors. Quicker to type than use the program. Received NO support from Nuance and to make matters worse, returned the program for a refund in August 08 but am still WAITING for my refund. Their website was down when I received an email instructing me to go to the site for address etc so I called customer support. The address I was given was wrong. Thank goodness I shipped it back via UPS BUT even though I have a date/time and the name of the person that signed for the product, and a written email from October that a check is being issued, my refund check still has not shown up. Would never make another purchase from that company nor would I ever recommend them to anyone I know!!!
Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 preferred November 9, 2008 Product shipped quickly to the UK, but Microidea hadn't made any arrangements for paying VAT, so I was hit with a bill for £25 covering VAT and a special courier charge as well. To their credit, though, when I wrote to complain, they refunded me the £25.
Then, when I tried to install the product, one of the files was corrupted, although that was (presumably) the fault of Dragon, not Microidea, and Dragon sorted it out quickly enough.

I CALLED nuance just to ask about their tech support options and was appalled at the lack of human contact! I write this after having purchased returned version 10, and thinking that possibly version #9 would work! Thank God I took the time to see what I would be getting into!

DRAGON NAUANCE WASTELANDS October 3, 2008 I USED TO SELL THIS SOFTWARE WHEN I WORKED AS A COMP. SALESMAN. NOW I'VE FOUND OUT WHAT MY CUSTOMERS MENT BY POOR SUPPORT. AFTER INSTALLING DRAGON NAT. SPK. 9.5, THE SOFTWARE REQUIRES YOU TO CONTACT NAUACE FOR REGI. THE SOFTWARE. AT THIS POINT I FOUND I COULD NOT COMPLETE REGISTRATIION NOR GET HELP VIA PHONE OR WEBSITE. BY THE WAY NAUANCE WILL ASK FOR A $10.00 TECH. SUPPORT PER QUESTION. THE SOFTWARE WITHOUT FINISHING MY REGISTRATION COMES UP WITH AN ERROR THAT REQUIRES A SOFTWARE UPGRADE.
dragon speak September 15, 2008 I purchased this product to be used with Vista, the box says it is compatible with Vista, but apparently the Microsoft Word voice recognition program overrides dragon speak. We have been unsuccessful it getting it to work. It loads, but cannot be programed to the individual voice. Telephone help had us on hold for over 45 minutes, our phone went dead before a tech picked up. Our older previous version used with XP worked great.
