This has to be one of the best mmorpgs to come out in a few years. the story is well driven and the action is there. There a few bugs in the game but no game is perfect, it is my opinion that this game is definitely a must have for all warhammer fans; whether you are a tabletop player or just a fan of the lore.

A very enjoyable game that balances the PVP more than most MMOs for people who are not identical level.
WAR - Quick review October 23, 2008
When a new MMO comes out there usually an accompanying Special Collector Edition of the game, War is No exception. Going over the value more so than the game you feel as if there should be a bit more inside for the price tag. Two hard cover books (Art and Comic) is a nice edition and a figure that usually costs $20. Feels as if it should have included a manual or a soundtrack. Or a book of Lore but since their own codex is pretty much included inside the game itself that would have been a bit redundant. :)
The game plays similarly to the other MMO's out there, level up, kill people in PVP. But when it comes down to PVP Combat i find really fun. Not much to say yet but overall i say Warhammer Online is a good MMO with some great established lore from years of table top gaming. Lets hope it can make it through the year (well course it will but i hope for more success!)

I'll try to summarize this as quickly as I can.
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is a PvP-driven MMO. If you enjoy large scale competitive RPG gaming, you will enjoy Warhammer. If you enjoy large PvP battles, you will enjoy Warhammer. If you primarily enjoy PvE content and questing, you will not enjoy Warhammer, although the game is rich in lore for those experienced with the Tabletop game.
PvP: 5 out of 5 stars.
PvE: 3 out of 5 stars.
Bugginess: 4 out of 5 stars. (NOTE: There are still plenty of bugs in this game, but it runs FAR smoother than most MMOs have on launch, and Mythic is patching nearly every day to resolve issues.)
Fun factor: 5 out of 5. Warhammer is new, fresh, and just a lot of fun. There really isn't any other way to put it.
Replayability: 5 out of 5. Since this is an MMO, you get your money's worth as far as time goes. You'll never run out of stuff to do, and even if you finish one character, you can make another on the other faction and have a completely different experience.
Graphics: 4 out of 5. Very nice, real, and sharp. Could use some work in some places, but overall, very good.
Final Score: 4.5 out of 5. If you enjoy PvP, buy this game.
Addendum: As for the collector's edition itself, if you're a Warhammer fan or just a game collector in general, the CE edition is a MUST HAVE. I have never owned such a beautiful CE for such a cheap price. The two hardcover books are very detailed, and the art is crisp and beautiful. The miniature figurine isn't assembled, which is a plus for me since I am a hobbyist. However, if you have never worked with a Game's Workshop model, you will be disappointed in that regard. The actual box of the game is very pretty as well, and looks great on any collector's shelf.

I am having a blast in this game. I do not feel a rush to reach the cap becuase there is so much to do at each tier. The RVR keep sieges are amazing and I cannot wait to see tier 4. Tier 3 is simply amazing. The devs have been great at addressing issues since launch and are being aggressive against the gold sellers already. Amazing game, I did not think I would ever find a game to keep me away from WOW but I have.
