MS Office Standard 2007 August 18, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have been using Office 2007 for a month now. The interfaces are clearly an improvement and do take a bit of using to get comfortable with the change. Outlook is far superior to previous versions. I run the program on a laptop with with 3gb of ram and have had no system issues. Very happy so far.
Shopped around... best price August 14, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I went to the MSFT website to determine the version of MS Office which suited me best, then shopped around for about 60 minutes. This was the best price I could find (with super-saver-shipping).
Useful functions now buried under useless functions August 6, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Microsoft essentially took all the useful functions of Word and shuffled them around, while adding some useless functions to distract you (do I really need a blog template?) The new ribbon (it's not even visually attractive) takes all intuition out of navigating through the app. Each command is now a small icon (for all those illiterate Word users) and is variably sized (meaning your eye jerks over each section, instead of down aligned lists). Customization is almost totally left out. Old versions let you customize the toolbars with commands you use most so they're what you need, grouped together to easily find. Now you're limited to one pathetic Quick Access bar. The abbreviated icons / heiroglyphics means it no longer reminds you of shortcut keys (and you have to wade back into that infernal ribbon to find them, meaning they're no longer a shortcut.) I'm all for learning if new & improved, but this yellow-boxed garbage is just counterintuitive.
Pretty good software August 3, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Biggest problem with this latest version of Microsoft is the reformatted Word functions. They're not in the order they used to be, it takes way too long to find what you're looking for, and it is less intuitively obvious. And who thought of that silly "Office Button" on the top left to fit a whole bunch of functions? Does that have some additional functionality outside of Word that has it named "Office Button?" Again, not intuitively obvious. So, perhaps this is something new for the sake of being new? In that case, give me my Word 2003 back! Especially so my friends can open my documents!!!
great service July 28, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was very happy with this seller. The product was very good, everything they said it was. And the service was extremely fast compared to others I've dealt with.
