It's ok, but there are free alternatives November 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Office 2007 is a pretty big leap from the previous versions, which can be nice for newer users, but the attempt to make things easier tends to make things harder for those of use who are used to a more classic system. If you're strapped for cash or just don't want to spend $70-$150 just to do some spreadsheets, word documents, powerpoint presentations, etc. there's always openoffice. This is a decent product, but I'm always surprised at how few people know of the free, open source alternatives. There's also Abiword if you just want a word processor.
Smart Purchase November 30, 2008 I was not happy that I would have to update Microsoft Word when I made the jump from my XP machine (still using Office 2000) to a laptop with Vista. I have absolutely no regrets. The 2007 version is intuitive enough for my ten year old to use, and I actually like this version of Word better than the 2000 version. It was well worth the investment for the home/student version.
Microsoft Hame and Student November 30, 2008 This product exceeded my expectations and my entire family is using it with success. I discovered the Notes and search sections and was very pleased with their depth and ease of use.
Word 2007 is very intuitive and it is making my work much more effective
Slow service no response November 30, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The product I purchased on 10/28/08 still has not arrived by 11/30/08. I contacted the seller twice and still have not gotten a response. The seller is pumbj4. I am very disappointed.
Big changes in interface from previous version November 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I, like most people, have used Microsoft Office products for years and am quite comfortable and familiar with the Menu setup. In this 2007 version, you can still do everything you've done before (plus some new formatting features), but the interface and menu layout have gone through a major overhaul...it definitely takes some getting used to. Also, while there is not a feature to change the interface back to the 2003 version, you can save documents as 2003 documents, which you may have to do frequently since many people and businesses have not yet switched over.
