Great...just not much better than the last games. November 10, 2008 I was a HUGE fan of the original two game on PC. So I decided to get this for the 360 as my PC can't handle these games anymore. I'll have to say I was a little disappoint. But mostly because it didn't add much to the old games other than improved graphics and some new toys. Maybe I set my bar too high.
Part of this is good. They didn't fix what didn't need fixing! The gameplay and action are just as good as ever. The slow-mo deal is awesome!! The MG and bazooka teams are way fun to play with and at the end of the game you actually get THREE squads to play with.
The bad: tank levels feel tacked on and personally too me out of the immersion. MP looks bad, plays okay, and overall just feels tacked on as well. And although the game looks great...not nearly as good as the E3 trailer we all saw a few years ago.
Overall, great game...but probably a rental for most. I will keep this as I can't get the other games on the 360 yet.
BROTHERS IN ARMS HELLS HIGHWAY November 9, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is very slow and frustrating. Good graphics. I cannot seem to understand if I am playing a shooter game, a movie game, or a strategy game??? Would be nice if it was just one or the other.
Very disapointing overall.
Upgrade November 9, 2008 The Brothers in Arms series has been about historical simulation and this title is no exception. The fighting is intense and the tactics you use to defeat the enemy squad can vary based on your personal stlye, but there is always a suggested path. Running headlong into machine gun fire may be heroic in other series, but in this case in plain silly. The only negative I care to comment on is the storyline. I understand that Ubisoft is trying to draw the player into the role and to give them something more, yet it just seems a little overdone at times. Overall a fun squad based adventure from beggining to end. Highly recommended, especially if you are a fan of the series and if not, hey you might just want to start now.
Solid WWII shoot 'em up November 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great Game! Most WWII shooters are rather iffy, toggling between monotony and action. This game provides well thought out combat situations and an authentic feel. Throughout the game you are given more squads, hence more responsibilities and more men to keep alive. Tactical play is mandatory. Especially on the harder settings. Trying to "master chief" it will only get you killed very quickly. Suppress, flank, own. For call of duty and previous BIA fans, its a great purchase for many hours of intense combat and strategy.

Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway
The game's story was very immersive for me, despite not having played the previous "Brothers In Arms" games. I played this game on an ln46a650, and the graphics are amazing. Overall, I thought the game was very fun and worth the money. I felt the game was challenging AND long ENOUGH (I am a casual gamer). I am a fan of Call of Duty 4, but I have to say this was a nice change in style. I would rank this as being slightly less fun than Call of Duty 4, but a great complement to the first-person WWII shooter genre.
