2 out of 5 stars Wow. Not what I expected...........   December 3, 2008
I honestly was expecting this game to be about PVP combat. What I found is that it really is about RVR, which means doing scenarios, public quests and dungeons to get your end-game gear. The UI is buggy and slow. Character movement is very very slow and it almost feels like you are underwater. The abilities are all very plain in that they all basically seem to do the same thing for each profession, e.g. 4 DOT abilites and a spammable insta-damage ability.

Basically, if you are a big PVP player this is probably not going to be the game you want. They are working on it, supposedly, so it may get better with time. I'm not optimistic though. I predict a Tabula Rasa future.

3 out of 5 stars Software from hell   December 3, 2008

This game will chew your computer up and spit it out. It's great in concept but its still in beta. They put it on the market too early. You can expect to crash to desktop at least a few times a week. Every time they introduce a patch, there are more bugs.

There is very little end game content, and it takes no time to get to end game. I think they have a good design, but unfortunately they released it before it was ready maybe. I have a quad core with four gigs of RAM, it crashes. It crashes on most everyone in the guild at one time or another. Should I say - I don't know anyone who is problem free with this game. The player base is diminishing, and with good reason. The software is not stable. Great idea, too. I'm sad.

Added note: If you do not like PVP then keep looking. This game is not a solo-able game, and not heavy on lore and role playing. Mostly pvp.

Great, fun game. Especially for people new to MMORPG's. I'm relatively new to PC games and this is only the second one I've tried, but I'm having a lot of fun with it. The only other one I have to compare it to is Age of Conan.

The game is easy to play and you can get started rather quickly. I seemed to have also picked up the fighting much easier than in Conan. The game also runs better and I don't seem to have as many updates. The quests seem to go faster and it doesn't seem like I have to stay up as long as I did with Conan. Not that I'm not as addicted, but I'm able to find good places to stop.

5 out of 5 stars fun but with some problems   December 1, 2008

This game is awesome! the content, quests, graphics, everything about this game is great. The quest lines (if you read them and not just plow through) really gives you a feeling for the 25 years of lore that was made previous to this game's conception. The big problem, at least on my server is that unlike a PVE based game where the NPCs are always waiting for you when ever you are ready. this is a PVP based game and other people don't always do what you want them to do in order for you to progress further in the endgame. but still the game is far better than many other i've played.

2 out of 5 stars Save Your Money, Buy World of Warcraft Instead....   November 30, 2008

I played this game in beta and into the release for 2 months before I canceled. Mythic dropped the ball and it came down as a big thud...dud of a game. It's an absolutely terrible PvP game and it's an absolutely terrible PvE game. The game seems like it wants to be kinda like WoW but have better PvP, but there's no EPIC pvp as promised.

I played Dark Age of Camelot a game Mythic put out years ago and Warhammer is no where near the game DAOC was for RvR. Warhammer was promised to be an EPIC ongoing battle of RvR, instead it's more like crappier WoW battlegrounds ongoing. It seems like Mythic was trying to grab WoW playerbase and they failed miserably trying. Just save your money, time, and frustration and buy World of Warcraft in my opinon.

Warhammer is in such bad shape with low populated servers, it feels like a ghost town anywhere you go ingame. 60 something US servers all low/low except maybe 4 or 5 that are at med/med. The game is bleeding to death very quickly.
