Absolutely the Best December 14, 2007 5 out of 10 found this review helpful
I have used Quickbooks now for 7 years and the updates they have made over the years have been wonderful. It just makes bookkeeping so easy to understand. You don't have to have a degree in accounting to be able to read the reports that are available, simply put the information in and Quickbooks takes care of the rest, tracking your sales, your receipts, your accounts payable, your inventory. I would recommend this program even if your just starting out, Quickbooks will walk you through the whole process.
Don't upgrade until they fix problems. December 11, 2007 23 out of 23 found this review helpful
I have been using Quickbooks Pro for over 10 years so I have found many good features but the loan manager for managing loans has a major flaw they can't seem to fix. The data files are stored in a separate file format & don't back up with a normal data back up. Then they don't transfer when you upgrade to a newer version. You can't access them because it moves all the other files to the newer version. I told them 2 years ago about this & they promised a fix soon. Didn't happen. Tech support told me to recreate the files manually, they were sorry.
Good upgrade, but don't expect much new. December 3, 2007 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
Pretty much like all new versions since I started using in 2005. The look and feel are the same. The underlying features haven't changed much. Maybe a new button here or there so they can say the user interface has changed and is the most user friendly ever. The template manager has went through some changes for this version. Nothing drastic though and the layout designer is the same. If you're new to accounting I feel QuickBooks is still the best. I did a lot of testing with Microsoft Accounting Pro 2007 and beta tested 2008 before the general beta was released. If your QuickBooks version is a couple years old, then I'd recommend an upgrade just to stay somewhat current.
QuickBooks Pro 2008 is worth it. November 12, 2007 2 out of 11 found this review helpful
I am upgrading from QuickBooks 2003 so it was certainly worthwhile to me. My accountant said I will gain some very useful tools, especially having all the important information in one place, rather than navigating between various tabbed screens.
Loading a breeze! November 11, 2007 2 out of 12 found this review helpful
Have not tried all the new features yet but the upgrading took no time and was flawless...
