4 out of 5 stars Good combination. Strong, everything you need, nothing you don't.   August 13, 2008

I had never heard of Kaspersky before looking over independent testing results comparing it with other security suites and antivirus programs. It looked good on the ratings, it was comparable in price, so I took a chance and bought it. Does a good job, so far as I can tell. Of course I don't know whether it's saved my computer from attack or not, but it seems capable. And the best part: LOW USAGE OF RESOURCES!! Doesn't noticeably slow down the computer at all, even while it's updating its databases, or running a scan.

Only downside is that it got a bit annoying at first while it was learning what programs to trust and what programs not to. But now that it's learned, I have no problems whatsoever.

Bottom line: worth every dime, and then some.

1 out of 5 stars not good for me..   August 10, 2008

when I saw that kaspersky has a good review from CNET i immediately ordered this. It slowed my pc to the extent that I needed to wait 10 minutes just to load my contol panel and delete it. I do have a good size hard drive and this didn't help.

3 out of 5 stars Old Version   August 7, 2008

When I ordered this product, I was to beleive it was the current version. It was not. I had to download the current version off of the internet, which of course, requires lots more time and trying to get compatiable with my computer. I paid for the current version $54.00. I should not have received a lesser version and end up upgrading and downloading on the internet.

5 out of 5 stars No Problems With 3 Installs   August 6, 2008

I decided to branch out after years of being a Norton man and have no regrets in the 2 weeks I have used Kaspersky. All my programs run smoother than before, but Kaspersky slightly messes with my AOL program making it think it restarted, but with no performance problems. While some reviews complain about the slowness of the initial scan, I was pleased with the thoroughness of the scan and Kaspersky found a few suspicious files that Norton had apparently missed. I installed Kaspersky on a laptop and two desktop computers and found it's best to remove the old anti-virus/Internet security program before installing the new.
