great game November 12, 2008 One of the best, if not the best, WWII fps ever. No issues with Win Vista, no crashes or glitches. Squad AI is better than before as there was no stupidly standing in front of cover and getting shot. Great game, I highly recommend............
Great Game, satisfying tactical cover system, graphics are awesome, story is too long October 30, 2008 The good things are:
1. The new cover system, like Rainbow 6 Vegas and Gears of War, makes the combat much more real and enjoyable.
2. Ordering the team around is easy and fun.
3. Audio is immersive and haunting at times(hospital)
4. Story is an extension of the earlier games.
5. Environments are realistic and beautiful, especially the hospital and HH.
6. Tank sequences are satisfying and break up the FPS action.
7. The action camera is great, love to see the heads explode or the tank explosions.
The not so good things are:
1. Story is convoluted and relys on you remembering it from the first 2 games from years ago. Should have released this closer to the earlier versions so people would know what the story is!
2. Cannot skip through the long cutscenes the first time through, I tuned out.
3. Sometimes your AI is idiotic.
4. "Authentic" difficulty level is not that authentic, out of cover you'd still have iron sights.
5. No blind fire from cover.
I liked this game overall, it's enjoyable to play. Not the longest game but the replay is better since you can skip through the cutscenes and get to the action. Like I said the story is convoluted and hard to really get that intersted in, but if you're into it, you're probably a Band of Brothers junkie. I wish other conflicts would be covered in videogames though, WW1, Vietnam, Iran/Iraq, Russian conflicts including WW2 Eastern Front, Falklands War. WW2 is just so overdone and now we also have another CODWW2 coming out next month!

Good but could have been better October 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I,like everyone else was waiting for this game and for the most part I've
enjoyed it. It was running well on my mid-range machine,E6600,ATI 3870,2
Gigs of memory The only gripes I have are not being able to go prone, crawl and no lean feature. I also find the A.I. a little suspect. There are times when the Germans will move from cover only to move back to the very spot they've just abandoned. Enough has been said about the cut scenes and story line. I treat the cut scenes like TV commercials.
The only problem I've had with the game was my fault. I decided to update
my video driver when I was 3/4 of the way through the game (can you say dumb a**?). Now I've got an ATI3duag.dll problem that is a bear to fix.
I'd say by this game,it could have been better but it is fun. Oh,and update your drivers before you run the game.
Another illegal DRM-infected release, this time from Ubisoft - another cancelled preorder... October 22, 2008 5 out of 11 found this review helpful
Yep, title says it all.
Too bad because I was a fan of all BiA games but this nonsense with recent illegal DRM infctions has to come to an end - DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, show Ubi your middle finger as long as they support Sony's illegal SecuROM.
You say DRM - we say NO.
Excellent! October 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Exceeded my expectations. I never played the earlier stuff BIA had, but having an interest in WWII, and also loving BOB and Saving Pvt Ryan, this definetely is one of my favorites. Some people may like the movie part, some may not. I loved it, thought it added an interest to the game others do not have. That was their intent, and I think they accomplished it.
Graphics are great, and you will need a pretty decent unit to run it smooth. Directing your squads takes a little getting used, but makes the game that much more enjoyable.
