Good Joystick October 2, 2008 Ergonomics could be improved but control is great. I use this for X-Plane 9, works great.
Ergonomics deficient but works well January 27, 2008 The ergonomics need improvement, but everything functions properly. I loved my MS Sidewinder 3D Pro but many new PCs obsoleted the 15-pin joystick port, so I had to buy a USB joystick. The Saitek had the same "swivel" rudder control that I loved on the Sidewinder. The RAH-66 Comanche was reported to have the same type of rudder control before DoD axed the program, so apparently the higher-ups liked the control interface as well.
Complete Control December 19, 2007 I use this unit to fly combat missions in Microsoft's various Flight Simulators and in piloting a Mech during Mechwarrior battles. The unit makes the transition easily. I don't have to worry about the technology in my hand, it just performs. Overall, it provides a flexible (programable) platfrom that delivers impressive gaming performace. A great device.
Love this stick! July 8, 2007 I bought this joystick for my husband about two years ago and will be buying another soon. He loves it, has had no issues until the rest broke off. But beware, do not make the mistake of buying it here! You can get the exact same stick from the Saitek site for THIRTY DOLLARS, not the almost $100 that some dipsticks are trying to sell for here.
Buyers Beware June 24, 2007 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
As of writing (24/6/2007), there are, to my knowledge, no drivers for Vista.
If I'm wrong, please let me know where to get them (I have tried the obvious places i.e. Saitek, MS, and FS sites).
