4 out of 5 stars Good Performance   December 3, 2008
I've been looking for a portable headset for my frequent trips after my Plantronics 310 got retired with microphone problems, and found the Logitech Premium Notebook Headset a good choice. A quick review:

The Good:
- Excelent sound, both ways. I believe it's better than my previous Plantronics, a good reference.
- Quite lightweight, again better than my old one.
- The foldable design made it the best companion in my thin backpack.
- Quite comfortable to use.
- USB adapter has a flexible connector: excellent for small spaces.

The Bad:
- The USB adapter performance is fair, but not as good as my old Plantronics - I've been using it instead Logitech one.
- The box that comes with this headset is bulky, and in my opinion, useless. Looks like those Bose noise cancelling headphones, but for a light notebook headset?
- Angle adjustment of earphones got loose after couple of months of use (I use it daily). May be not a big deal, but feels like broken.

Final review: After a good overall performance, it's a true 4 star rating, and replaced (almost) completely my old one with some advantages: lightweight, compact foldable design, excellent headset performance.

4 out of 5 stars Great audio headset   November 25, 2008
This headset from logitech is just great. Granted, before I had picked these up I was using an older and bulkier headset, so my opinion may have some non expert bias, but the fact remains that I love these.

I know this has been stated before, but one of the main reasons I enjoy this particular set is its versatility; even though it is listed as a notebook headset, it performs just fine on a desktop. I have to switch between the two depending on where I am working from or my location at the time being, so I find this aspect particularly convenient. The small amount of carrying space required for traveling with these also is helpful in that respect.

The quality of sound in this product is also very high, whether I am listening to music, speaking for a work narration, or speaking over a net connection I have gotten nearly perfect sound quality with little to no feedback or background noise interrupting the flow of the presentation. Adjustable settings on the actual headset also cause no interference; for example, muting or volume adjustment cannot be detected in the actual sound recorded.
I am also a fan of Microsoft vista and solely use it as my OS. It seems to work well with applications related to Vista, which I find to be useful and refreshing (not having to tweak things with the system, that is).

All in all this is a high quality headset that I would recommend to anyone who has to use voice recognition or communication services on their computer frequently. Though there are certainly limitations and it is not a perfect product, for these functions it handles great.

4 out of 5 stars works well   November 13, 2008
i have used another model of a logitech mic-headphone combo before. i liked the sound quality of the previous model & had heard good reviews about this model. for the money that i paid, i can say that i got it's worth!
i have used it to chat on skype, iChat, etc & has never given a problem so far.
i would recommend this product!

4 out of 5 stars Excellent price/performance ratio   November 9, 2008
Easy to install and excellent sound quality in both directions. Generous cord, you don't have to remove the headset if you need to move a bit farther away from the computer, it also can reach a computer stashed away some place. The carrying case is a bit bulky, but it effectively protects the headset on a trip.

As for negatives, the adjustments of the headset are a bit flimsy, but more importantly the behind the head design can interfere with glasses and make it a bit difficult to find a comfortable position.
