Amazon.com A great pinball game should not only be amazing from the start, but should continue to be entertaining every time you play it. This was the thinking behind the development of the newest pinball sensation to hit the market, Dream Pinball 3D, with its 6 cutting edge tables that are beckoning you to try your luck. The monsters-themed table. View larger. | The 'Two Worlds'-themed table. View larger. | Gameplay Not skimping on the technology, game developer TopWare Interactive included six different style of balls in Dream Pinball 3D. Made of different materials, they not only look different, but their ballistic characteristics will affect the very rolling behavior of each one of them. Add to that incredible acoustics, state of the art particle technology, HDRI and multilayer 3D sound, realistic tilt function and motion blur effects, and you have the best pinball experience yet available on the PC.One Game but Many Ways to Play Whether bellying up to your favorite machine at the local arcade or plopped down in front of your PC, a huge part of the fun of any pinball game is variety and action in the tables you play. Dream Pinball 3D has this covered with its six playable tables. Each has an entirely different look, with a partial list of these including: aquatic, monsters (zombies,vampires...), and dinosaur and Two Worlds (game publisher SouthPeaks's hit role-playing game) themes. Each of these also includes at least one extra pair of flippers, in addition to the standard pair. This makes for unpredictable fun and boundless replayablity, whether you are already a pinball wizard or a wizard in training.Features- 6 tables with various themes

Good game June 15, 2008
I wanted a game comparable to the old Epic pinball games. I decided to try this one and I am glad I did. These are some really good games and a lot of fun to play. The price of this game is great too.
There are some similarities between the pinball games, but they are all different enough with different board setups and themes to make them all enjoyable to play. I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoyed the old Epic games.
I did not like having to register immediately before playing, but it
went through easily. Overall it was a minor annoyance.
Best Pinball since Epics Extreme Pinball April 20, 2008 This is the first pinball since Extreme Pinball back in the 90's that I have found addicting, it's not perfect however most of the flaws are over come by the great gameplay.
First the bad.
1: As a previous reviewer pointed out, the effects for hitting targets, bumpers, etc are the same across all the tables, they could have been more creative with this, especialy for a pixel shader 2.0 game.
2: Once again for a graphicaly advanced game you would think it would support wide aspect monitor resolutions such as 1440x900, however it only supports 4:3 modes up to 1600x1200, fortunately with a 16:9 toggle which allows the game to at least be displayed with the proper aspect.
2.5: Main menu is displayed in a lower resolution than the actual game engine, causing annoying mode switching between tables. Anyone remember the first Half Life?
Other than small details the game otherwise is truly excellent if you enjoy pinball on the pc. The Amber Moon table (AKA: Two Worlds) is an obvious favorite and for good reason, it's easy enough to keep a game going for at least a short while and offers smooth game play with a slow progression of objectives to keep it interesting. The Monster table is also pretty good, however I found the other tables really pale compared to Amber Moon, maybe this is just personal preference.
Another strong point is the cost of this game, which really nullifies any flaws I can find up to this point, for $15 on DVD with a small but decent manual I really feel I got a great deal.
Dream Pinball 3D March 21, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
This Pinball game is extremely detailed and plays like the real thing. Really like the different type of balls, takes Pinball to a whole new level of play. When I first bought the game I had an XP OS computer that died before it arrived. Now have a Vista OS computer with 224 shared audio and video, thought I had overkill on minimum requirements. Would not run on it, so I upgraded video card to a BFG NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT and a bigger power supply. Now I can not stop playing it. The music sound tracks are great, not annoying like other games.
Really good. February 26, 2008 I really like pinball simulations. And this is a pretty good one. Sure, the six tables share some similar features. But still every table has its special treats. There are some new ideas and I can spend hours playing it without feeling bored.
Would definitely buy it again.
Tables seem too much alike February 19, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It is so rare that electronic pinball game is released, let alone for pc that I had to buy this. The games are very fun to play, however they all seem a bit too similar for my tastes. All 6 have the same sparkler like flashes when hit hit certain things etc. The plunger for the ball is unrealistic as well; when you draw it back and release there is no ball on the tip then suddenly it comes out of the chute. I really wish each table had been totally unique with it's own bells and whistles and styles.
