vue 6 September 20, 2008 So far the software is great but my computer is the problem because I don't think the video board on my computer is up to stuff for this software. Most of the stuff on there though you have to buy content from Cornicopia...like with Poser 7 you can buy and add content from Content Paradise...which sadly I think both with my Poser 7 software and Vue 6 easel...I am not computer suavy enough to figure it out...but I still love the software.
Good software August 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you want to create 3D environments quickly and easily this is the application for you. I actually purchased Easel 6 from the Vue website for half the price (two day sale). For that price it's even better. But in all honesty to get true flexibility its best to go with the total version. Like Vue Extreme.
Great software April 25, 2008 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
If your just starting to get into 3D art this is a great place to start before getting heavy into things like lightwave or cinema4D and the more advanced versions in the Vue line. I've created a lot of great stunning images in teh few months i've owned this product. There's only a few complaints i have and they really shouldn't stop anyone from buying this product.
- Purchasing add-ons like trees, houses and materials. there's tons of other items that you can use to make your scenes from the softwares website but they require being purchased. after paying nearly #100 its a bit frustrating having to spend more for little things like paint materials or waterfalls.
- Space: If you're planning on doing an extremely over the top image or something with an really high resolution your going to need to check the amount of available space on your PC.
-Resolution cap: If you'd like to make large images to put on zazzle or other websites to print on canvases for wall hangings your going to need to get a more advanced version of Vue. easel won't allow you to create a 4800 x 2560 pixel image for those needs.
- Poser: If you want to use poser to insert figures into your scenes (you can also purchase figures from the website mentioned)you'll need to do a lot of tweaking. It seems that Easel doesn't much like the hairstyles of Poser and they don't "render" smoothly. Inserting poser figures can also make the program crash.
- Lighting: is sometiems tricky to get right.
